1. Is this website secure?

2. How do I find my textbook?

Use Your Schedule: Once you have registered for classes we can pull in your class schedule.  Simply click on "Buy Books" on the home page.  Next click on the green box "Retrieve Class Schedule".  This will open a window showing all the books you need for your upcoming classes.

Search For It: You may search for your book by selecting "Buy Books" and then selecting your Department, Course ID, and Section/Course Title.  This will bring up a list of books for that class. This is the easiest and most effective way of searching for your textbooks.However you may also search by the books ISBN number or the Author's Last Name. To search by ISBN, key in the exact 10 or 13 character ISBN into the search box. NO DASHES. The ISBN is typically located on the back cover of the textbook. It can also be found on the copyright page printed near the copyright date. The copyright page can be found on the first few pages of the book. To search by author, key the first author's last name in the appropriate box. If an exact match is not found, the closest match to your criteria will display.

Typically courses are listed 3-4 weeks prior to the start date of class. If you are unable to locate your course(s) within 2 weeks of the start date, please contact your school for more information.

This payment option is not available for shipping. Please contact customer service if you need assistance.

7. When will I receive my order?
The length of delivery time will depend on two factors. 1) The shipping method you have chosen and 2) the time in which we received your order. If an order is received by 2 P.M. CST, we will process that order and ship that day. Orders received after 2 P.M. CST will process the following business day. Orders placed on a Saturday, Sunday, or a national holiday will ship the following business day.  Backorders will ship as soon as inventory becomes available.

8. How do I track my package?
Most orders will be shipped via USPS-UPS Mail Innovations and will have a tracking number available.
When a tracking number for your order method is available, it will be included in your shipping confirmation email. Once you receive the tracking number, logon to the appropriate carrier website and enter the tracking number found in your email.

9. Will I need to sign for my package when it is delivered?
tbcOnCourse.com
does not require a signature, however many carriers and shipping methods do. UPS leaves that to their driver’s discretion. If the particular driver on your route requires a signature, they will leave instructions as to how to obtain your package. A signature is required for expedited shipping. Someone must be able to sign for the package when it is delivered. See the designated shipper’s website for details.

10. What is your return policy?

Upon delivery of your package(s), please open the carton(s) immediately to ensure order accuracy. Please report any discrepancies immediately to our Customer Service Department.

For all returns directly to tbcOnCourse.com, you must obtain an authorized return number from us. You may reach Customer Service by email or at 1.877.859.2652. Please include your order number with your request. You have up to seven days after the start of the current semester, or within seven days of receiving the original order (whichever is later), to request return authorization.

Any shrink-wrap packaging which includes a sticker stating, “DO NOT OPEN”, “No Return if Opened”, “Not Returnable if Shrinkwrap is broken”, etc… may not be returned if the shrink-wrap is opened.

If you have received an item enclosed in shrink-wrap packaging, which does not contain any warning stickers, you may open it to check the contents without voiding your ability to return the item. 

Textbooks which include an access code may not be returned if the access code is sealed and that seal has been broken.

Textbooks which include an access code may not be returned if the access code is sealed and that seal has been broken.

We must RECEIVE the return merchandise within 10 business days from the issue date of the return authorization. The textbook(s) must be returned in their original condition.  We reserve the right to downgrade an item and adjust the credit amount if the item is poorly packed and bruised in transit. All returns are at customer's expense, except when merchandise is sent in error or is damaged. Refunds will be processed once the textbook(s) has been received at our facility and is deemed to be in its original condition. We highly encourage you to send your return via UPS (with applicable insurance) or insurable U.S. Mail Service.

tbcOnCourse.com is not obligated to issue a refund for return shipments that do not arrive at our facility. Refund for approved returns will be issued within five business days after receipt of merchandise. Textbooks returned to us without a return authorization number will not be processed for refund. 11. When will I actually receive credit for my refund?
tbcOnCourse.com will issue your refund within five business days after the arrival of a "pre-authorized" item. The length of time for the credit to show on your credit card account is solely up to your credit card company. Please contact your credit card company for further information.

If you have utilized financial aid on your order and require a refund, payment will be credited back to your financial aid account.  If the financial aid account is already closed and the funds have been released to the student, then a refund check will be mailed to said student.

12. Will my refund include the original shipping charges?
 You WILL receive a full refund if the reason for the return or cancellation is our error (e.g. shipped wrong book; book not in satisfactory condition; etc.). If the reason for the return is initiated by the customer, (e.g. ordered wrong book; dropped class; etc.) your original shipping charges will NOT be refunded.

13. Will my return shipping charges be reimbursed?
If the reason for the return is our error (e.g. shipped wrong book; book not in satisfactory condition; etc.), a prepaid UPS label will be provided to you via First Class Mail in order to return the book that was shipped in error. If the reason for the return is initiated by the customer, (e.g. ordered wrong book; dropped class; etc.) the customer is responsible for the return shipping charges and these charges are not reimbursable.

15. What is your quality standard for a used textbook?
We have the best USED textbooks in the industry! We specialize in used college textbooks. We define a quality used textbook as one that has minimal writing or highlighting, and the cover is not damaged or scuffed. There is no water damage.

In the unlikely event you are unsatisfied with the condition of the textbook, beyond the description above, notify customer service and we will issue another book or refund your money upon return of the original item.

16. Can I make the purchase with you over the phone?
You are always welcome to call our Customer Service Center at 1.877.859.2652 to place an order over the phone. We apply different methods all over the country to acquire textbooks. Our inventory is updated in real-time throughout the day. If a textbook is out of stock, we will process your order as soon as our next shipment arrives; we try to have all books arrive in time for class. If we do not have any outstanding orders for a textbook, we will special order a copy for you, which usually arrives in 8-10 business days.  Backorders will ship as soon as inventory becomes available.

Course Supply Kits are designed by your professor and contain a selection of supplies that will be used for a course. Kits may include lab supplies, art supplies, or any other tool that students will need for class. The kits are offered at a discounted rate to help students save money while buying supplies for classes. Course kits must be unopened in order to receive a full refund.

20. How do I sell my books back?

24. What is Textbook Rental?
Textbook rental is simple and saves you up to 75% over the cost of buying a new book. You can rent the textbooks you need for the semester at a discounted price, then return them at the end of the term.

25. How do I pay for my textbook rental?
You can use your credit card or financial aid. We do require a credit card be kept on file, even if you pay with a different method.

26. Why do I need a credit card if I am paying for the rental some other way?
If the textbook rental is returned after the due date, or is damaged, we use the credit card on file to pay for a replacement book and processing fee, as described in your Rental Agreement.

27. I have money on my credit card, why is it being declined?
Please check the expiration date. The card must be valid THROUGH the end of the rental term. If your expiration date is valid, please contact your credit card company for assistance.

28. How long is the rental period?
The rental period begins the day you pay for the rental and continues for 125 days, as shown on your Order Confirmation.

29. How do I return my rental?
Rented materials must be returned via the provided prepaid label. You will receive this label in a reminder email about 14 days prior to the end of your rental period. If you do not receive this label, please contact customer service for assistance.

30. How do I know which books are available as rental?
If we are renting a textbook, the Rental option will display in your book list alongside New and/or Used (if available). Just check the box and follow the instructions.

31. Can I mark up the inside of the book with a highlighter or make notes in the margins?
Normal use of highlighting and writing is permitted. We will use the same standards for determining acceptable condition of rental textbooks that it used for determining condition of books sold back as used books.

32. What happens if I do not return the book by the due date?
You will be charged the replacement cost and processing fee for any book not returned, regardless of the reason. These fees are in addition to the rental fee and will be charged to the credit card you have on file.

33. How much are the fees?
75% of the new book price, plus a processing fee of 7.5% of the new book price. These fees are in addition to the rental fee.

34. What if I forget when the rental is due?
As a courtesy, we will send a reminder notice to the email address you provided during your rental checkout and on your rental agreement. However, it is your responsibility to return the book by the due date even if you do not receive this email. If you have questions, please contact customer service for assistance.
